About Makoto Dojo

Dojo FrontMakoto Dojo - School of Aikido, Inc. is a Charitable Non-Profit Corporation, organized under section 501C.3 of the Internal Revenue code. We are committed to the Ventura County Community and surrounding areas.

 

Larry Reynosa is the chief instructor and the original founder of Makoto Dojo. In 2014, he was honored with the title of “Shihan” (Master Teacher) by Moriteru Ueshiba, the current Doshu and grandson of Morihei Ueshiba, the Founder of Aikido. The ceremony was held at the Hombu Dojo, World Aikido Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan.

Larry Reynosa is also a member of the adjunct faculty at Ventura Community College. He offers an Aikido and Self-Defense/Assault Prevention classes from early August until mid-May each year at the college.

 

Additionally, Makoto Dojo has been approved by the Ventura Unified School District for any high school student wishing to accomplish their independent PE study at Makoto Dojo.
